Rings Galore - a Must-Have Fashion Accessory

Gwendolyn Taylor
Mostly everyone has a staple accessory that they like or wear the most. My must-have fashion accessory are rings. With rings you can always spruce up any outfit, whether causal or fancy. Unlike earrings or necklaces, rings are farther away from your face so they do not draw any unwanted attention to your facial features. They will also not clash with any of your makeup (such as shimmering eye shadow, glitter eyeliner, etc.). Rings come in all sorts of shapes, designs, and colors which can complement anything that you are wearing.

I have a very large and diverse ring collection, anything ranging from costume jewelry to authentic gems. On casual wear days I will sport a single crystal lined band or wear something cool like a chunky plastic bow ring. On dressier days I will put on something like a huge rhinestone flower ring on my finger or an accented cocktail ring. Rings can be fun and even be custom made. I have unique rings such as a Scrabble tile ring with my initial, and teapot and teacup ring set that you wear on two fingers next to each other. No matter what, even if I don't wear a custom-made or "dressier" or casual ring, I will always wear the ring that my significant other gave me. It is a single sterling silver band with our names engraved on the inside. This is a ring I will never forget to wear when I walk out of my house because to me it's is something that is special and distinctive to me and reminds me constantly of our love for each other.

Rings are convenient and can be worn by both guys and gals. With rings you don't have to fiddle with necklace clasps or try to fit an earring hook through your earlobe. I always get compliments about my rings that I wear out and am always asked where I purchase them so they can get something similar to it. Rings can also be very inexpensive. Places such Forever 21 and H&M sell non-cheap looking rings for anywhere around $3 to $8. Many costume jewelry rings also come self-adjustable, so you don't have to worry about it not fitting on your finger or being too loose. Also, unlike earrings, rings are less irritating and sensitive to your skin since the skin on your hands and fingers are a lot less sensitive than your earlobes, so you don't have to worry so much about rings having to be nickel free or being completely made out of gold, silver, or stainless steel.
