Ringtones: What Should Single Guys Avoid?

Tammy White
Does it really matter what ringtone you choose for your phone? Will you be judged by the selection you make? What ringtones could you choose that would make a girl cringe? Are you eliminating potential mates? Technology can actually hinder your sex life. Be careful what vibes you give out. For ten ringtones single guys should definitely avoid see my list of song choices below.

1. Faith of the Heart (Star Trek theme song) by Russell Watson-Seriously think hard before choosing this song. Don't speak Klingon to her either. Don't tell a girl you're a Trekkie until after you're married. You're pushing your luck even then!

2. Online by Brad Paisley-What girl wouldn't want a man living at home? Are you thirty and still with your folks? Does your mom cook your food and still launder your clothes? Mama's boys aren't that sexy!

3. Dancing Queen by Abba- If you're straight, you'll want to avoid this song. Don't choose Village People ringtones either. It's just a myth that girls are into gay men. Don't make us question your orientation!

4. Nadia's Theme (The Young and the Restless theme song) by Barry de Vorzon- When your girl watches soaps, its okay to watch too, but don't get carried away! Any hockey or football tune will do fine. Sometimes it's good for men to be men!

5. Mexico by Toby Keith- A song about cheating won't impress many girls. You should probably avoid this song. I'll be faithful as long as we're both in the same country isn't something a girl likes to hear!

6. I'm an Asshole by Denis Leary- It may come as a shock, but girls aren't into jerks. Bad boys, not assholes, are sexy. Honesty is great, but please filter your thoughts. We're not into dating children!

7. Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin- Are you stuck in the past? Are you still in high school? You should really choose a more current song. No girl wants to date a guy stuck in the 80's. Get rid of that mullet please!

8. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones- Girls like a guy who's content with their life. Who wants to date someone hard to please? It's a catchy tune, but try to avoid it, or you'll be saying "I Can't Get No Dates!"

9. Love and Marriage by Frank Sinatra- How romantic, a song about love going sour? Is that your real opinion of marriage? Picturing a life with Al Bundy makes us want to stay single. Don't pick 'Cheaper to Keep Her' either!

10. Because I Got High by Afroman- If you're looking to score dope, and not the ladies, then this song might be right for you. If you are normal and sober (at least most of the time), try a ringtone a little less risky!

Selecting a ringtone for your phone is like choosing your clothes. You are judged by the choices you make. Your ringtone is a glimpse of the person you are. Don't give others the wrong impression. Choose a song for yourself that won't scare away girls. Avoid confusing potential mates. If your phone never rings, choose whatever you want. If you're popular, check the list!
