Risarium Black Rice Moisturizer

If you have oily skin, this is a great moisturizer. While it's a cream and looks like it could be heavy, it really isn't. It absorbs quickly into the skin. So quickly, in fact, it doesn't leave my skin dewy enough for makeup applications. So this moisturizer is best used as a night cream.

I recommend applying after cleansing when your skin is still wet. Just rub about a fingertip full onto your wet face and let it dry on its own, don't towel dry.

Why should you apply to wet skin? When your face is still wet after cleansing, your pores are open. So the moisture will absorb into pores, taking more moisture in and delivering the moisturizer where it can really make a difference in the appearance of your skin.

"If you apply moisturizer once your skin has dried, you're only reaching the surface of your skin" says Rebecca Restrepo, a celebrity makeup artist, who I had the pleasure of meeting this summer.

Risarium Black Rice contains 100% Italian black rice extract and acai, so using this method will give your skin a dose of some of the best skincare ingredients on the market, without leaving a heavy feeling on your skin. It retails for about 35 bucks.
