Rising Star Ali Faulkner Promotes 'Breaking Dawn,' 'Bad Kids Go to Hell,' 'Boneboys'
Up and Coming Actor Meets Fans at Studio Movie Grill 'Twilight Saga' Screenings
It's amazing how one little role in a major film franchise like "The Twilight Saga" can help put an actor on the map and gain attention from moviegoers worldwide. That's exactly what has happened to Ali Faulkner. In the course of one week, she's gone from being known from roles in small independent films to possibly becoming the next Scream Queen starlet in upcoming films like the big-screen adaptation of best-selling graphic novel "Bad Kids Go to Hell" and horror movie "Boneboys."
Ali Faulkner has very quickly moved up in star status because of her role in the latest chapter of Stephenie Meyer's sparkling vampire romance series "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1." In the span of one week, millions of "Twilight" fans have become familiar with Faulkner thanks to her role as the Volturi's secretary, Bianca. Her scene is a short two or three minute clip after the credits role that's the only part of the film to feature new footage of the Volturi.
Faulkner plays a nervous secretary who must deliver a bit of bad news to head vampire Aro, played by Michael Sheen. Apparently Bianca has become known for her bad spelling, and Aro has had enough. It's a very memorable sequence that is short but quite memorable.
The actor made a special appearance between screenings of "Breaking Dawn" at the Studio Movie Grill in Dallas, Texas, that was sponsored by BigFanboy.com, an entertainment website whose headquarters is in the Metroplex area. Faulkner was there to help promote the new "Twilight" film and draw attention to another project she has coming out soon: a big-screen adaptation of the critically acclaimed horror comic book miniseries and graphic novel "Bad Kids Go to Hell."
Described as "'The Breakfast Club' meets 'The Grudge,'" this movie revolves around six of the kids everyone hated in high school who are put in detention together. Out of boredom, they jokingly have a seance. Unfortunately, it appears they've awakened an ancient evil set on killing them off one by one.
In the movie "Bad Kids Go to Hell," Faulkner plays the role of spoiled rich girl Tricia Wilkes. Her character could be described as the leader of an eviler and more vicious version of "the Brat Pack," who rules the hallways of prep school Crestview High. Let's just say that from the beginning of the movie, you'll be rooting for her to die horribly.
Another film coming up that will star Faulkner as the lead character is "Boneboys." This project was penned and produced by Kim Henkel, co-creator of the original "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," and inspired by Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal." Horror fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this movie.
Faulkner stars as birthday girl Sissy, who just wanted to have a nice dinner with family and friends at an upscale restaurant in the city. A group of cannibalistic international predators who deal in human flesh have other plans for Sissy and her celebrating bunch. "Boneboys" is scheduled to come out in January 2012.
Ali Faulkner took pictures with and greeted fans going in and out of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" for about two hours. The actor was incredibly grateful and displayed how she truly appreciated every person who came out to the event. She told them all to be blessed and had a great big smile on her face the whole time. As she grows in popularity, Ali Faulkner will surely prove to be an asset to any film production lucky enough to have her in their cast.
