If you love marshmallow Peeps and Italian ice, Rita's Ice has an Easter combo for you this year!

From March 20th through April 4th, Rita's Ice will be selling New Peeps Italian Ice products. Rita's will make some of their most popular menu items in Marshmallow Peeps flavor to usher in the first day of Spring and the Easter season. Here's a look at some of the Peeps Ice products you'll be able to buy:

Peeps Chocolate Covered Gelati-This parfait style treat features layers of Marshmallow Peeps Ice and creamy chocolate frozen custard.

Peeps Chocolate Covered Misto-It's a Peep gelati with swirl! The Peeps Chocolate Covered Misto blends the marshmallow Peeps Ice and chocolate frozen custard. So thick, you'll have to 'drink it' with a spoon!

Peeps Pie Blendini-Take the Marshmallow Peeps Ice, combine it with frozen custard and mix in some cookie crumbles and voila! You've got a Peeps Pie Blendini!

Rita's marshmallow Peeps Ice will only be sold for the beginning of Spring into Easter, so don't miss this limited edition run.

But wait...there's more! Here are some promotions Rita's Italian Ice has planned this month as we gear up for Spring and Easter.

March 20th: Free Rita's Ice-Once again, Rita's Italian Ice will kick of the beginning of Spring with its free ice giveaway on March 20th. Each customer will receive a free regular ice in any flavor. Perhaps this would be a fine opportunity to try out the new Marshmallow Peeps Ice??

March 27th: Free Chocolate Covered Peeps-Here's your chance to get a new Peeps product for free. The first 500 customers at any Rita's Italian Ice will receive a free Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peep chick. These individually wrapped treats made their debut this year and sure to be a hit in years to come. The Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Peeps come in milk and dark chocolate. (And word has it that a chocolate covered Peep is in the works for Halloween this year!)

Peeps History and facts

Marshmallow Peeps were first made in the 1950's by Just Born Company in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. The first Peeps made were the Easter chicks. Since then, the Peeps family has grown into Easter Bunnies, Christmas trees and gingerbread men, Valentine hearts, and Halloween cats. Peeps also come in flavors like chocolate mousse, strawberry, and vanilla creme.

Are you kidding? These are two of my favorite things, but I just don't know how they go together. I'm going to have to find out.

This is great for Peeps fans.

I bought a chocolate covered Marshmallow Peep and it wasn't what I thought it would be. It was more creamy, like something you would get out of a Whitman's Sampler box. Unfortunately, I am a Peep-a-holic this time every year. Though I didn't like it as much, I ate it anyway. LOL!
