On arriving, I was welcomed with the very friendly staff. It felt like home away from home. It is a very laid back place that allows one to truely relax in comfort. Lodging accomodations are the best and affordable for most pocketbooks. They offer standard rooms for $70.00 a night. I chose a King Room, which was the closest to the hotsprings and offered a view of the courtyard. It was like a little apartment, with a refrigerator and microwave in the kitchen as well as a full stove. There was a seperate bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed. The best part was that I was able to take my dogs at only $15.00 as an additional charge. They too, had a wonderful time.
The mineral baths were explicit. They were very clean, and water temperature very comfortable. They have both public and private baths. The Cielo pool is their most popular mineral pool . It is shaded and seats four people. The temperature of this bath is 107-108 degrees. It is the hottest of the pools, with a misting system to keep you from getting too hot in summer months. Tierra, another pool, has a refreshing waterfall to add to your pleasure. The temperature is 104-105 degrees. It has the mildest temperature of the pools. I chose to rent 2 private baths in addition to the public pools. It was great to enjoy the baths in private and the views were astounding.
The baths costs only $10.00 each for an hour. You can soak by the hour or stay the night. They give discounts with the purchase of a number of baths. It was truely worth every penny. I also received a massage by a local masseuse. It was spectacular and added to my complete relaxation. It cost only $65.00 and was well worth it all. The facility arranged the massage for me. There was free coffee every morning, and staff to point you in the direction of other feature attractions in the town. It is close to two lakes and there is much to see in the historic town of Truth or Consequences. I recommend this trip to anyone wanting a refreshing and affordable vacation.
