Roasted Garlic Appetizer

This appetizer is great for diner parties, snacks, appetizers or even a rub on your favorite meat.

Serves approx 2 people per head of garlic

Roasting garlic is easy. Here's how you do it :

Take whole garlic heads and wrap them in aluminum foil.

Add 1 tsp of olive oil and salt an pepper each bundle before closing them tightly.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Place each little bundle in the middle oven rack and bake for 1 hour.

Remove from oven and unwrap.

Place garlic heads on a serving dish.

Here's how to serve roasted garlic :

Serve with oilve oil, Balsamic vinegar, hot pepper flakes, and salt and pepper

Smash each head with a fork exposing the soft garlic cloves. You can spread this on any type of bread, cracker or crostini.

Also you can pre -smash each garlic clove and collect all roasted mashed garlic together and place in bowl for dipping or spreading.

However, Here is what I like to do. After smashing garlic, pour some oil and balsamic vinegar on cloves.

Smother a warm piece of Italian bread into mixture and enjoy !
