Robert, Ivana and More!!!

Actor Robert Downy Jr. is the superhero of the summer as Iron Man. Directed by Jon Favreau of Daredevil fame; the Marvel comic created by Stan Lee has made it to the big screen joining fellow Marvel characters X-Men and Spider-Man into the box office stratosphere.

Robert is greatly cast as Tony Stark/Iron Man, because they have many similarities. They have the attitude, the sense of humor, and Robert actually has the look of Tony Stark for the film. He wanted to be as true to the character as possible and he definitely pulled it off. But there was one similarity that stood out; substance abuse. For Tony it is alcohol; it was drugs for Robert. The latter however managed to get over his hump without lack of trying.

Robert is considered to be one of Hollywood's gifted actors. This is due to his talent that has overshadowed his mistakes in life. From Less Than Zero to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang we see an actor who can deliver a stellar performance; not to mention his ability to make us laugh (who can forget Weird Science?). This movie is going to bring a new fan-base for both Robert and the comic itself; this is a great new chapter in his life.

In theaters this Friday, Iron Man also stars Terrence Howard as Jim Rhodes, Gwyneth Paltrow as Virginia 'Pepper' Potts, Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. There is a series of comic books called The Ultimates where the character Nick Fury has the likeness of Sam (with his written consent of course) and you would think it was seen as a prophecy; smart move, on both Sam and the artist's part. See how things happen?

Ivana Finds Love.... Again

Ivana Trump, ex-wife of The Donald, has given marriage another shot with Rossano Rubicondi. The lavish ceremony was held at Don's Mar-a-Lago mansion. Nearly 600 guest including hotel moguls Rick and Kathy Hilton, Trump himself along with him and Ivana's children, were at attendance.

Ivana and Rossano, an Italian entrepreneur, have been together for about six years before getting engaged in September 2007.

Cannon Misfires

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are engaged to be married; a date hasn't been set.

The singer and her 'Wild 'n Out' honey were recently seen together at an after party in New York for celebrating her Tribeca film "Tennessee." She was flossin' something twinkling on her ring finger while at the party.

While at the party, People magazine asked Nick what does he love about the 'Touch My Body 'singer; he simply said, "Everything."

Everyone remembers the whirlwind romance he had with Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks that resulted in and engagement after nearly two months together in May 2007, only to turn around and call the wedding off in October the same year. Many are already wondering if this is a stunt or the real deal. If it is the real deal, this will be a first for Nick; second for Mariah who was married to Sony exec Tommy Mattola for five years.
