Robert Pattinson Takes Leave from Breaking Dawn to Shoot Additional Scenes for Water for Elephants

Robert Pattinson has had a busy schedule this week, filming Breaking Dawn in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and also presenting this weekend at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.

Some sources were debating whether shooting scenes so close to the Water For Elephants release date of April was possible, especially as Robert Pattinson has a different hairstyle for his role in Breaking Dawn, but as we now know from the photographs, the shooting of these scenes did in fact take place.

The rumors turned out to be real, following the release of some behind the scenes photographs of them on set, and according to the official Water For Elephants web site, shooting of some new scenes for the movie began on 14^th January in Ventura County, California, where the movie is being shot.

Fortunately with Robert Pattinson attending the Golden Globe Awards this past weekend, he was only a stones throw away, so really the reshooting just meant him flying into Los Angeles a few days early.

The Robert Pattinson Daily has a photograph of Robert Pattinson sporting some impressive cuts and bruises on his face, but fans have no need to be concerned, as it was all courtesy of the make-up department.

On Location Vacations also has photographs of Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon from the reshoot, showing Reese in a skimpy circus outfit and the two of them locked in a passionate kiss.

According to a Tweet from the film's director Francis Lawrence last week, the reshoot consisted of several extra scenes as well as a surprise for the ending of the movie.

I would not be surprised to see a lot more hype about this movie as the release date of April approaches, and have a funny feeling that it is going to see success at the box office, even though it may be a dramatic departure from the type of movies that Robert Pattinson fans are used to seeing him in.
