Alomar, 41 has played for many baseball teams during his 17 year career. He's considered the greatest 2nd baseman in history. He retied from baseball in 2005 because of health issues. His dad is the Mets bench coach, Sandy Alomar. He is being sued by Dall for 15 million dollars.
The two started dating in 2002. A couple of years later she noticed symptoms of AIDS such as cold sores in his mouth.. In 2005 The Tampa Bay Rays made Alomar have a doctor's exam. He was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia purpura, a blood disorder. In the lawsuit Dall alleged that Alomar told her he had no diseases so they could have unprotected sex when they starting dating and that didn't stop him until 2005. They lived together for three years.
In 2006, Alomar's test results showed him being HIV-positive. According to Dall after his diagnosis in 2005 of thrombocytopenia purpura they went to a specialist who, after a spinal tap, told them that Alomar had AIDS. It is not clear if they had sex after this news but I would surmise that Dall, who seemed concerned enough in 2002 to ask, would have given him the boot. In any case she didn't because they didn't break up until October 2008. I would imagine they were using condoms!
Alomar told Dall in 2005 that he was raped after a baseball game when he was 17. That caused him erectile dysfunction. Alomar's lawyers see this suit as baseless and would have liked this story to be kept out of the papers.
Umpire John Hirshbeck became known when in 1996 he and Alomar got into an argument and ejected Alomar from the game. Alomar then spit on Hirschbeck.
Alomars' career includes stints with the San Diego Padres, Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, the Mets and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Alomar was born in Puerto Rica. He was a switch hitter (He could bat with either hand) but threw with his right hand. It really is too bad his career has to end this way but he made his bed by not telling the truth and now he has to pay the dues (just my opinion of course).

Lori that's an understatement. I think I would have killed him!
Sigh..one would hope!

I would think she would insist they use condoms when she found out he had AIDS....
