Robin Williams is at Undisclosed Miami Area Hospital for Heart Related Problems

Robin Williams has been hospitalized in Miami. Reports indicate he is the ICU for heart problems.

Breaking news reports out of Miami indicate comedian Robin Williams is in ICU at a Miami hospital for heart related problems. As of right now representatives for Robin Williams have realized a brief statement oh his website that explains all four of Florida shows have been canceled and that "(Robin) Williams was experiencing shortness of breath and is currently being evaluated by doctors who are recommending a week of rest.

First reports on Robin Williams did not indicate how serious the situation now seems to be. News stations in Florida are breaking into scheduled programming to report that Robin Williams is indeed in intensive care. The hospital Robin Williams is at is being kept private. Representatives for Robin Williams have denied that he is in ICU.

Robin Williams had scheduled 2 shows here in Ft.Lauderdale (Hollywood) Florida at the Hard Rock Cafe. He was set to perform on March 4th and 5th in his one man show at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. Robin Williams also was set to perform in Orlando and Tampa later this week. All Florida shows have been canceled as of right now. Robin Williams has a show scheduled for March 12th in Atlanta, Georgia that as of right now has not yet been canceled.

Miami and Ft. Lauderdale have several well known hospitals that specialize in heart problems. One of the best hospitals for heart problems is Cleavland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Miami Heart Institute, Broward Heart Institute, Mercy hospital are also very good hospitals in the Miami area Regardless of what hospital Robin Williams is at in the Miami or Fort Lauderdale area, he will be in good hands.

My prayers are with Robin Williams and his entire family, I hope he gets better soon.

Robin Williams has been doing stand up comedy for over 30 years. He became well known and loved by the American Public for his role as "Mork"on Happy Days. Mork was a hit and had it's own spin off show called "Mork and Mindy" Children now know him for his voice in the animated cartoon "Happy Feet" He also was the voice of "Genie" in the Disney film Aladdin.
