If you live in York, Pennsylvania, you are privileged. Despite some of the problems of the area, you have access to Roburrito's, a burrito-based restaurant with locations on West Main Street in Dallastown, West Market Street in York, and another location in progress on West Philadelphia Street. If you've never been to Roburrito's, finish reading this article and then immediately drive to the restaurant.

This is the story of Roburrito's as far as I know it. Roburrito's was founded by a guy named Rob that enjoyed making burritos for his friends. He traveled around for a while and perfected his burrito-making skills, then decided to open a restaurant. That's what I hear, anyway.

The restaurant itself has sort of a punk feel to it, or at least the Dallastown one does. It's hard to explain, but it's clear that the atmosphere is geared towards people in their teens or twenties that like alternative music and piercings. You may enjoy the atmosphere or you may not. If you don't, you can get your food to go. And the food, well, the food is worth it.

For $5.75, an individual can get a burrito that will provide at least one, if not two, filling meals. The first time I ate at Roburrito's, I was warned that I wouldn't be able to finish my burrito. I laughed it off, but it ended up being true. If you're a normal eater, it might take some time for you to be able to finish an entire burrito.

A variety of burritos are available at Roburrito's. You have choices of either chicken, steak, or potato in the burritos, and they come with rice, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, black beans, and salsa by default. The guacamole is excellent, by the way. Other types of burritos like a shrimp burrito and a fajita burrito are available. If you do not like burritos, quesadillas, taco salad, and nachos are available. I have never tried anything besides the burritos (because they are delicious), but I have never heard anything bad about the food from Roburrito's. And generally, you can make any request from the employees and they will do their best to accommodate you. I find the burritos from Roburrito's to be better than those from Chipotle, though one has slightly less choice of ingredients. However, the price of a burrito at Roburrito's is more reasonable.

If you live in the York area or travel through it with any frequency, you should make the trek to Roburrito's. For the price of a fast food meal, you can get a delicious meal of a burrito, nachos, and a drink. Ignore the atmosphere if you feel it necessary and focus on enjoying the food. Although that probably won't require conscious effort.

Have you eaten at Roburrito's? Know of any other burrito restaurants in the York, PA area? Feel free to share your thoughts in the form of a comment. Thank you for reading!

I totally agree! Roburrito's is the best. In fact, we are going there for dinner tonight. For those of you who have difficulty tackling the entire burrito, they also have a mini burrito that is a smaller portion with the same ingredients. P.S. Make sure you add potatoes to whatever meat you get in your burrito--they are great!
