Some children have an advanced psychic ability at a very young age. Many parapsychologists believe that humans are born with innate psychic ability and that the exhibition in children happens before outside influences (parents, teachers, preachers) begin to teach the children the cultural philosophies of their belief in such abilities---usually to an end that tells the child such abilities don't exist. The child picks up the idea that they shouldn't be doing these things they've had the ability to do since early in their worldly existence.
