Rock climbing has become a popular sport with kids and adults as it challenges each individual to new heights. If you're child has been wanting to learn this sport, the Montrose Recreation District will be holding supervised classes for children between 7-14 years of age.
Although a supervisor will be on site at each class, parents will also need to be there to assist their kids. There is no charge for the parent(s).
The course is an 8-week session that will meet on Thursday's from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. If your child is willing to take this adventure with other children, it's a great way to learn the sport of rock climbing while being supervised.
Classes begin Thursday, October 6 - December 15, 2011
Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
at the
Montrose High School Climbing Wall
$35 for the 8-week Session
If your child cannot make this first session of rock climbing classes, there will be a second session beginning January 12 - March 23, 2012. To sign up for either of these sessions, please call the Montrose Recreation District at 970 249-7705.

Sounds great, but I think I would past on this because of the heights.
Another great reason to live here. I'm afraid of heights but nice for those with adventurous spirits!
