If you are a person who has never tried rock climbing or even if you have done it before, this tutorial will give you a few tips to improve your rock climbing skills even better. For people who haven't tried it before, it will be a great idea to take up a rock climbing class. That's because rock climbing is not only a great adventure sport that comes handy in real life, but its also a good exercise.

Rock climbing helps a person to build muscles and stamina. Its one exercise that can tire you mentally as well. Planning your moves and climbing each rock is important and needs a lot of efforts. That's the whole reason i ask a person to climb rocks when he is tired, as he will get a chance to find his true endurance levels. This might sound a little weird at first, but once you have found your endurance level and work towards improving it, you will turn out to become a rock climbing professional. At this point of time, your mind will start searching for ways to work smarter to save every bit of energy you have.

To save energy while climbing rocks, you must work in harmony with the rocks, instead of working against it. In order to do this, you'll have to start by finding your center of gravity. You can do that by spreading the entire weight of your body evenly and putting most of your weight on your abdomen. It's a great idea to keep your limbs spread out proportionately during movements. Move one leg at a time so that your lower body pushes your upper body, so you don't put too much pressure on your arms.

At any point of time if you feel that your muscles are cramped, stop there and try to relax your muscles. You might just get a severe cramp if you continue to move. Spending a few minutes at that spot will help you to feel better. When you are resting, you can simply hang there with the support of your harness. Otherwise, you can stand there as well.

Each time you make a move, ensure that the rock you are stepping on isn't a weak one and is firmly stuck on the wall. Plan you move well so that you don't have to go back downwards to find another route, as many a times rock climbers tend to lose their way, due to a lack of foresight. As a beginner its always good to go slowly, since you are in the learning curve and don't want to compete with others. Rock climbing isn't a race, until you are considering it as a sport or a challenge.

The most important advice about rock climbing that any expert will tell you is to take the necessary precaution to stay safe. Also the best way to learn rock climbing is to try it out practically after you have spent hours watching experts do it. Once you learn all the minute techniques of rock climbing, nothing else will be more enjoyable than it!
