Was called a loon,
But what a great rock drummer,
Died too soon - bummer.
Ringo Starr Clerihew
Ringo Starr
Has come very far,
Drummed for the world's top band -
His acting was often unfairly panned.

Likes animals, lots,
The quiet Stones - him and Bill,
But though getting on, a nice guy still.

Post a CommentI loved the "died too soon - bummer", LOL made me chuckle...
Great rhymes on these drummers.
Lovely! :-) Enjoyed!
Wonderful. :)
Good ones! The Ringo poem is my favorite of these. :)
fun!
the second one about Ringo is my favorite of the three, though all are entertaining. Ringo never did get a lot of credit for his work on Thomas the Tank Engine. &)
What a great series Paul. I've got to say I love Charlie Watts too!
Real drummers are, sadly, becoming obsolete as programmed percussion begins to rule the studios. Sometimes, they appear in live performances but are just 'stick synching' the electronic sounds. So sad ...
Really enjoyed this one. Was a Beatles and Stones fan right from the start (more than the Who, but I liked them too).
