RockStarMoms.com offers gorgeous, colorful clothing for moms-to-be with true punk rock street cred. Offerings range from uniquely patterned band shirts (who knew a corset could look so good on a baby bump!) to original designs featuring skulls, koi, and other hipster-obilia. Their maternity skirts in particular are a joy to behold.
The only downside is the prohibitive pricetags. I may never know the pleasure of wearing the In Utero tube dress/skirt because it's eighty-three [expletive deleted] dollars.
But if you can afford to spend hundreds (and hundreds) on some badass maternity wear, this is a one-stop shop. Look no further, you rich, pregnant rocker chick!
RockMeMama.com offers a sizeable collection of rock-themed shirts in lovely patterns. Browse the collection at their website, or head over to UnbuttonedMaternity.com to buy.
Prices are still high, hovering between $45 and $98 for tees, tanks, and one truly spectacular Nirvana hoodie.
But all these tops, dresses, and yoga pants would be for nought without a few pairs of kick-ass, bona fide rockstar maternity jeans.
SierraMaternity.com has a sweet amalgamation of denim from such brands as True Religion, Seven, and Paige. You've got bell bottoms, cigarette legs, boot cuts. It's a world of possibility in dark and distressed washes that no rockstar should be without.
The pricing is in the horrifying spectrum so common in the best-fitting, coolest-looking jeans, so drop a hint or two to any stinking rich and sympathetic friends or prepare to drop a couple C notes just the way you would on a pair of Luckys.
Often, more reasonable prices can be found at sites such as BelliesRock.com, BabiesNBellies.com, CrybabyMaternity.com, and even trusty old eBay.com.
Of course, you can always go the old-school, D.I.Y. punk route and make your own damn rockstar maternity clothes... But retail therapy cures stretch marks, so you might want to let the plastic do the work this time.
Good luck and best wishes, baby mama!
