On Thursday, August 2, 2007, the Rockford Public Library will be hosting their Annual Homeschool Information Fair in Rockford, Illinois. The event will include speakers and representatives from various local organizations of interest to homeschoolers.

Coordinating the Information Fair is Kathi Kresol, Librarian Assistant at Rockford Public Library. As a former teacher at homeschool cooperatives and homeschooling mother whose children are now in college, she will be presenting on the topic, "Getting Started in Homeschooling." Also speaking will be Kathy Wentz, a homeschooling mom credited with organizing the Homeschool Resource Center, located within the Johnsburg Public Library in Johnsburg, Illinois. Ms. Wentz will be giving a talk entitled, "Cure for the Math Curse."

Several organizations offering programs for homeschoolers will be in attendance at the Information Fair, including Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, Natural Land Institute, Sacred Heart Academy, Children's Theater Project, No Joke Martial Arts, and Annunciation Co-Op.

The Annual Homeschool Information Fair will take place in the auditorium of the Main Library branch, located at 215 N. Wyman St. in Rockford, Illinois, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This is a free event open to everyone and no registration is required.
