"Rocky Horror Glee Show": Casting, Links to Full Studio Songs

Find Out Who Plays Who on "Glee's" Rocky Horror Picture Show Tribute

Debbie Henthorn
Gleeks everywhere are eagerly anticipating the much-rumoured "Rocky Horror Glee Show" episode of "Glee" scheduled to air on October 26. Stories, gossip and speculation abound as fans of the hit show try to figure out which "Glee" character will play which Rocky Horror Picture Show character.

Clues are everywhere on the Internet - the "Glee" official website has posted teasers and the show's soundtrack for that night is available for download on iTunes as a 7-song album. Practically every gossip site out there has linked to the videos so "Glee" fans can debate and try to decipher who will play who.

According to Entertainment Weekly, original film cast members Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors) and Meat Loaf (Eddie) will make a special guest appearance during the "Rocky Horror Glee Show" episode as studio honchos discussing a deal to Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). The EW website has the full studio versions of four songs available for listening: "The Time Warp", "Dammit, Janet", "Toucha-Toucha-Toucha Touch Me" and "Whatever Happened to Saturday Night".

Based on the photos and videos I've seen, the cast lineup is set but a few "Rocky" characters are still in question.

"Glee's" current couple-of-the-week, Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) are set to play the RHPS's young couple, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss. Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) has been stereotypically cast as the film's Dr. Scott.

Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel, talks of "begging" for the role of Riff-Raff on one of the teaser videos. He'll take the Glee lead in the iconic song "Time Warp". Newcomer Chord Overstreet, playing golden boy Sam, will take the uncomfortable tiny-golden-shorts-wearing role of Rocky. According to photos, Eddie, Columbia's love interest, won't be played by a student but rather Dr. Carl (John Stamos).

Dr. Frank-N-Furter will not make an appearance on "Glee". In one of the videos, it appears that Mercedes (Amber Riley) is wearing the operating gown that Frank wore while he was bringing Rocky to life, and in the iTunes previews of "Science Fiction Double Feature" the lyrics are Dr. X.

Yahoo!TV has the full-video preview of the "Time Warp" and it confirms that Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Brittany (Heather Morris) will share the part of Columbia. The role of Magenta will be played by both Santana (Naya Rivera) and Quinn (Dianna Agron). In the "Time Warp" scene, Mike Chang (Harry Shum, Jr.) is dressed in leather appearing to be Eddie, but John Stamos (Dr. Carl) sings the lead on "Whatever Happened to Saturday Night" on the soundtrack.

One interesting twist found in the videos is a scene in which Emma (Jayma Mays) appears to be tearing apart Will's (Matthew Morrison) shirt and singing "Toucha-Toucha-Toucha Touch Me".

Expect more rumor leaks until showtime and check back here for more details. You can see other "Rocky Horror Glee Show" teaser videos at the Glee official website here.
