Rocky for President

Voters attracted to the candidacy of the senator from the south side of Chicago for the presidency of the United States would be even more attracted to Rocky, my Yorkshire terrier. Obama developed his political skills at a respected university; Rocky, learned his skills on rough streets, but, without doubt these are the behaviors of successful politicians. After the training and education received at a respected university necessary to become a wealthy politician Mr. Obama is now immersed in the luxury of a world class tour made possible by the donations of so many who are attracted by his calls for political change and desperate for a leader to show the way; this is not a bad thing, but, let me assure you that while my dog Rocky lacks formal training, he too is capable of a similar behavior. My little dog may lack the elitist education and the degree of luxury large coffers filled with dollar bills of very large denomination that trained politicians learn how to accumulate. Like many politicians, my dog may also be dumber than dirt; But my little Rocky who is also all mouth can tour the neighborhood in an equally regal manner, equally intent on a personal logic and private agenda that is, in the political experience of many politicians, based on an admitted need to pee and poop whenever and wherever they feel the need..

The distinctions between the pretty senator from Chicago and "The Rock" are slight. His sense of camaraderie with individuals like little Joey Lieberman who served as the conscious of the senate and the nation when he challenged the retaliatory power and authority of a sitting president, his friendship with men like Tom Rich the former governor of Pennsylvania and a recipient of the Bronze Star for valor in combat, and his eagerness to meet with honest men and women like the governor of Louisiana and the governor of Alaska serve as evidence of his sense of purpose, and his claim to moral courage..

Johnny has been described as a "Maverick;" a man who does not follow the rules of the typical politician. As a younger man he is said to have had a fondness for a brawl. The liberty calls he enjoyed as one of those naval aviator have been described as "train wrecks;" Those who might reject the man as a politician on this history are correct. Johnny is not a politician. He is not a man who attended elitist universities that graduate students who would set aside moral values in the pursuit of personal gains.
