Rodney Stuckey collapsed and had an apparent seizure on Friday night. Rodney Stuckey collapsed during the game, and the seizure has been assumed because he was shaking violently when he went down on the court. Stuckey had just been in the game for the Detroit Pistons, but after sitting on the Pistons bench for a few minutes appeared to begin collapsing, eventually hitting the floor, where he shook violently for what seemed like an eternity. It was only really a few moments, but it was clear that Stuckey needed medical attention right away. They took him out of the game, and directly to an area hospital.

The collapse that Rodney Stuckey experienced took place as the Detroit Pistons were playing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, and it shook up anyone that saw it happen. It was clear that the players on the bench, the coaches, and the fans as well were very worried when they saw what had happened to Stuckey. According to teammates on the bench with him, nobody saw this coming, and Stuckey had appeared to be just fine when he checked out of the game in the third quarter. When the game had finished, both teams gathered around center court to pray for their fallen comrade who had to be placed on oxygen on the way to the hospital.

According to The Detroit News, Stuckey was down on the floor for about 12 minutes while medical staff worked on him, culminating in him being wheeled out to a waiting ambulance. His vital signs are reportedly stable at the Cleveland Clinic, but tests are being done to determine just what happened on the court Friday night. The best news is that he is now conscious and breathing on his own, so hopefully there turns out to be no lasting effects for the Detroit Pistons point guard. Rodney Stuckey was drafted into the NBA from Eastern Washington University, and has been the pride of Cheney, Washington for some time now. Fans back home took to Facebook and Twitter posting well-wishes that he would be fine after the scary incident. Right now it looks like he is definitely improving.
