Roger Goodell's Comments About Michael Vick at NFL Draft
I personally believe this is a horrible decision on the part of the NFL commissioner. Michael Vick doesn't deserve to be making millions more, unless he plans on donating AT LEAST 90% to pit bulls who have suffered at the hand of cruel owners who choose to fight them instead of love them as they deserve. Many people, myself included, consider this to be a slap in the face to all animal loving NFL fans. Convicted felons, who serve much less time than they should, have no place in the NFL. Michael Vick spread the message that pit bulls, and animals in general, are disposable and not worth of our respect. It is will be a sad day in the NFL if Roger Goodell decides to reinstate Michael Vick. It will be an even worse day for the team he ends up playing for.
People like Michael Vick give precious pit bulls a bad name. I am a pit bull owner, as well as a veterinary technician. I've seen the results of dog fighting, and I've also seen the results of giving a pet a loving home. Dogs of all breeds deserve love and care. Football fans deserve players that are doing good things for their community, not wasting their tax dollars for prosecution of criminals.

look everyone deserves a second chance ,I am a proud pitbull owner.I love my dear cha-chi to death and I defend his rights just his so he can be seen as a pet, not just some viscous animal. people tend to have a streak of prejudstice when it comes to things they don't understand.When i was young I got to see quite a few dog fights, some messy some not. There are rules and dogs don't normally fight to the the death. when a dog don't want to fight no more that's it you have a winner.They call it jumping the pit aka ring running ect.But these dogs are breed from the best fighting in the world good bloodlines a must a lot of these dogs can go for 5000 easy, and they are like race horse,More wins means bigger purse and the price of any puppies that may come about .But rules can differ at different rings.

Thank you Joelle Rock for the great comments. I don't believe it is time to let it go. Why should dogs be treated any differently than human beings? They feel pain the same and they look at you with you with the innocencence of a child as if to say "why are you doing this to me?" Would you say let it go, Zaporah, if this was a child? I think not. Why is it any different? He pulled a female dogs teeth and chained her to a "rape stand" so she could not fight back as the males took there turn for breeding, (would you want you wife or daughter treated this way?) If a male did not fight properly, he was put to death by hanging, electrocution, drowning and other horrible deaths, but yet capital punishment is cruel and unusual. I am a huge footbal fan, but I do not believe that this unspeakable horror and tragedy is worth winning a few games. If you wanna bring God into it, I believe he said eye for an eye. So, let the electrocution of Vick commence.

Animals don't have a voice to speak for themselves. It's the job of decent people to speak for them. If it were your dog, you would probably feel differently. You would probably feel differently if you had the task of putting them to sleep because they are were too badly mutilated before a responsible citizen alerted police. You're right I have a personal disdain for people like Vick who take innocent animals and put them in a living hell.
And I guarantee Jesus wouldn't approve of Michael Vick's actions, and I doubt he has qualms with me writing an article condemning him for his actions. Furthermore, I don't have to love Michael Vick. We judge a person's character by their actions, and I think Michael Vick has definitely shown his true self. He just never thought it would ever reach the public's attention.
Thanks for the comment. Michael Vick should be stoned (actually, I think he's qute familiar with being stoned), and maybe electrocuted, or beaten to death like the pit bulls he held captive. The sociopath didn't need the money, he did it FOR FUN. Such a mentality takes a lot more rehab than some months in prison to correct.
If Michael Vick would actually put out a PSA saying he was SORRY for being a dog-murderer, and that he is sorry for what he did, instead of sorry for letting down his fans, then I could find it in my heart to forgive.

Its time to let it go. If God can forgive then who are you a mere man to hold this degree of hatre withing you. Once Vick serves his time he should be allowed to be reinstated into the game. When some wanted to stone a woman caught in sin they brought in the woman to Jesus and reminded him of the law. Jesus bent down and looking up merely said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Each slipped away. Could you cast that stone? Think about your answer. Jesus told the woman to go and sin no more. If you want a spokeman for your efforts then Vick can be that spokeman, but you have maligned the man to the extend that I wonder would he want to have anyting to do with you and your hate. Your possess to love dogs yet you refuse forgive a fellow human being. You are a hypocrite.
