Rogers Park Bicycle Collective Offers Volunteer Opportunities

I love this place! I can't say that I volunteered there, but I did accompany a co-worker there when she took her nephew there to learn about fixing his bike. After spending some time there, I seriously considered volunteering because I feel it's such a worthwhile place to donate my time. Kids love tinkering with their bikes, but most of them don't know how to fix them, myself included. I can't think of any other place in the city or the suburbs for that matter that offer kids help on fixing their bikes and how to stay safe when they ride.

The Recyclery, located at 7628 North Paulina in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago has various volunteer opportunities available in their shop. The volunteer opportunities are open to anyone who would be interested in helping kids learn the basics of bicycle maintenance and also teaching them how to be safe when riding their bikes. In addition, volunteering opportunities are also available for people who can staff bike sales and host the Open Shop times. The Recyclery really doesn't care if you're an experienced bicycle mechanic or if you don't know anything about fixing a bike. I think they're just happy for the volunteers that they do get to help with their cause.
