Rogers Park Historical Society Relocates
Neighborhood: Rogers Park
Chicago, IL 60626
United States of America
The Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society moved from their previous location of Western Avenue to their new location at 1447 West Morse, in Chicago. The new location provides an increase in visibility and greater accessibility to the residents and workers who live in the community. Rogers Park Alderman Joe Moore previously was working with the City of Chicago and the Historical Society to relocate them to the old firehouse located at 1723 West Greenleaf in Rogers Park.

Alderman Joe Moore worked with the formerly named Chicago's Department of Planning, which is now known as the Department of Community Development, however, the plan did not come to fruition, and thus the move to the Morse Avenue location. In addition, Joe Moore might revisit his plan to bring the Historical Society back to the location of the old firehouse, once a new mayor is elected to the City of Chicago.
