Considering yesterday's news about "Jackass" star, Ryan Dunn's death, Roger Ebert has his own comment about what happened. While alcohol was attributed to the accident that caused the crash leading to the death of this pop cult star, Ebert commented on the photo tweeted by Ryan hours before his death.
Ebert was commenting on the photo and caption above it about him out drinking. While it is not confirmed until today the cause of death, Ebert's comment while true, should have waited until the autopsy report had came out before blasting his comment to the world through Twitter.
Ebert's comment started a flame war with Dunn's costar of "Jackass," Bam Margera. Understandably, Margera has the right to be upset with anyone commenting on how his pal died. Their argument that found it's way on to Facebook.
Although Margera wasn't the only one who attacked Ebert for his comment he made on Twitter, the comments made on Facebook from fans were colorfully displayed as they felt just as insulted as Margera by Eberts opinion.
With that in mind, Facebook took it upon themselves to suspend Ebert's Facebook page because of the heated discussion of Dunn's death and the comment that was heard around the world. Facebook "mistakenly," as they told MSNBC taken down Roger's page and restored it with everything in tact.
This isn't the first time Facebook has been overzealous with their censorship of the site. It will be a long time, IF ever before this debate over one tweet from Ebert will ever be buried. Ebert issued an apology on his blog for his comment and what he meant, but text on the Web can be taken completely out of context when people are not face to face during the conversation.
More than likely not even with the apology because things have been said that can't be taken back.
