You think yourself hard and difficult to read
A closed book of endless chapters
Encrypted words in a hidden language
And yet the look within your eyes
Can heal me
Or make me bleed
All it takes is a glimpse, a quick blink
And I am on my knees begging for your love
Again
I fell for you in seconds
An amazing, terrifying moment in time
My breath caught
My heart fluttered like a dying bird
Reach out your hand to me
I am here and I am yours
I fight you and your control
I hate you and I love you for this insecurity
A good day is never because of me
A bad day is my fault alone
Am I self-absorbed?
You rarely make me feel this way
I do it on my own
I drive you crazy
In good ways and in bad
I make you laugh and I make you cry
But you never ask why
Eternity is not enough
Yet by the end, we'll have killed each other
With our quirks of insanity
