Romance Novel

A Poem

April Higney

but all I could come up with is this:

entangling her words in a hushed soft kiss.

By the bridge in a summer sunset,
he wrapped his arms around her waist.
Boats drifting by, lights shimmering in the refelection,

Passion sang through the moon's gravity,
in wisps of desire's emotion,
a flicker of the fire burning through their hearts,
words silenced like the power of a love potion.

I sat down to write a romance novel,
but I didn't get very far in the text.
Somehow she lost the words in romantic bliss,
and she wasn't so sure what would happen next.
