Romantic Crafts to Make Your Spouse

Pretend It's Valentine's Day

Eloah James

It's been a long time since that dinner this past February. Next February is far away, too. That doesn't mean you can't do something romantic for your spouse or the person you love. Make them a little something to let them know that, with them, everyday feels like Valentine's Day. You'll both be glad you did.

From Men For Women Guys, a lot of you still haven't figured this out yet, but most women care more about the fact that you tried than what the end result was. In other words, how well your gift turns out does not matter, just like it never mattered to your mom when you came home from camp with that misshapen ashtray and she didn't even smoke. What will matter to her is that you took the time and effort to create it for her, thought into making her feel loved. That counts for a lot more than how pretty the final gift is.

The first thing to do is pick a theme that is significant to you both. Whether it is exceptional dates the two of you went on, a vacation that you took - or one you always planned to take, just make sure it is something specific to the two of you or that showcases what it is that makes her special to you. All it takes is the ability to cut pictures out of magazines and glue them to paper, board or a box, and a few well placed words about what the pictures represent. Don't skimp on "I love you."

Suggested Materials White school glue Scissors Sharpie Marker(s) Magazines and/or photographs Unpainted wooden box OR 8x10 or larger blank canvas OR Scrapbook with paper pages

From Women For Men Ladies, while it is true that there are many will appreciate the sentiment, most men aren't looking for cards and flowers. What many men will appreciate is something that recognizes their skills at helping support the household financially - even if you are an equal or higher earner in the relationship. Go to your local pottery workshop and make him a coffee mug, if he drinks coffee. If not, make him a little inspirational card to put in his wallet that says something appreciative or encouraging on one side such as "Thanks for all you do" or "Greatest Husband, Greatest [Job Title]," and "I love you" on the other. Another idea is to make him a really great dessert that he can keep for himself or take to the office and share, like his favorite cheesecake or fudge squares.
