The Notebook-
Is there a woman alive that doesn't absolutely adore this movie? I think not. The passion and love between Noah and Ally engulfs you into a fantasy world that cannot be found anywhere else. This story makes every woman wish they were Ally, and that Noah was theirs to have and to hold forever. Although this movie has only been around for a few years, I know I will have no problem making my 100 times, and not too far into the distant future. If you haven't seen this movie, it's a must for every woman, and here's hoping for every man.
Always-
Always was made back in the late 80's starring Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfuss. This is another heart stopper. It's a movie about how sometimes we must love someone enough to let them go, and just be joyful about them being happy, even if it's with someone else. This movie has everything, love, laughter, fantasy, and most definitely excitement. This was one of the best romantic movies of the 80's. By the way, a small yet important role as a angel, is played by the late and great, Audrey Hepburn.
A Walk In The Clouds-
Moving onto the late 90's, we find a love story set back in the 40's starring Keanu Reeves as a soldier returning home after World War II. He ends up helping a wine makers daughter because she is pregnant by her college professor. He pretends to be her husband so her father will not dis-hone her. Of course he ends up falling in love with her, and eventually making peace with her father. What a love story. This story proves that love conquers all.
Gone With The Wind-
I have no clue how many times I've watched this movie, but at my age, I'm sure it's close to that 100 mark. What a tumultuous love between two strong individuals. Scarlett is a character you love and hate at the same time. Although she seems spoiled she ends up becoming a very strong and capable woman. The back and forth between Rhett Butler and Scarlett keeps anyone interested throughout the whole film. I would say for it's time, which was 1939, this was one HOT movie. I'm still in love with Clark Gable because of his portrayal of Rhett Butler. Just pop this video in when your in the mood for hot passion, without all the sex scenes, You won't be disappointed..
The Quiet Man-
Okay, so who doesn't' love John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara in the same movie? This movie has everything, from the beautiful green rolling hills of Ireland to a Priest and Minister that will make you laugh. An ex-boxer played by John Wayne decides to return to Ireland to find himself. There he not only finds himself but a beautiful, fiery red headed Irish girl played by Maureen O'Hara. Their relationship starts out as rocky as Ireland itself, only to blossom into a seductive romance and marriage. I loved the characters, and the old fashioned romance filled with passionate kisses. Make sure you don't miss the best scene in the whole picture where John Wayne grabs Maureen O'Hara in one of the best on screen kisses of all time!
Well, there you have it, my five choices of the most romantic movies you will want to watch, over and over again. Once you watch these movies once, you won't have any problems making it 100 times, and maybe more!
