Romantic Places to Dine in Walt Disney World

From Happiest Place on Earth to Most Romantic Place on Earth

With many people celebrating their anniversary all year round, but mostly in the spring and summer months, everyone's always looking for that perfect spot for a romantic dinner. Walt Disney World may be known as a child's playground, but in fact, there's much more to it than that. In my opinion, Walt Disney World can be one of the most romantic places to be - especially in the evening. With all the amazing restaurants to choose from, you have almost any option at all.

There are the resorts, which have some beautiful dining spots that surpass expectations of many. The theme parks also have some amazing restaurants for you as well to have a romantic dinner. Depending on your idea of a romantic dinner, you can essentially choose anything, even if that means order something to go such as a pizza or anything and find a nice quiet place to sit.

There are so many different resorts at Walt Disney World so I'm just going to mention a few of the romantic dinner spots. Keep in mind that you will definitely want to make reservations at these places, as they can be very busy. Also know that the dining experience is a bit longer than just a counter service meal at Walt Disney World.

California Grill at The Contemporary Resort is such an amazing experience. You will eat in the restaurant that's located on the top floor of the resort that also has an observation area outside. You can walk outside and see the Magic Kingdom from a distance. It is an amazing site. If you can, try to make your reservations for the time of Wishes fireworks show at Magic Kingdom and the site will be one to remember.

Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge is an absolutely gorgeous view. If you love nature and the national parks, you will absolutely adore this restaurant. With emphasis on more of the "game" type of meals, you have to opportunity to try many cuisines that you'd normally not have. With a geyser going off in the background every so often, you'll be truly taken back by the atmosphere.

Victoria & Albert's is another place that seems to be one of the most romantic dining experiences in a Walt Disney World resort, which is located at the Grand Floridian. To give you some idea of this place, there is a strict dress code which includes a dinner jacket for men and either dress or pants suit for women. The average time for dining at Victoria & Albert's is right around the two hour mark.

The theme parks are full of places to eat. Wherever you turn, there's food. Epcot is the park that has the most romantic dining establishments though, in my opinion. You have so many different countries to choose from as far as cuisine and atmosphere. If you head over to the World Showcase part of the park, you have many options.

San Angel Inn located in Mexico at Epcot is where you can enjoy the beautiful romantic setting with the Mexican feeling. You can see the market from your table, as well as the most gorgeous backdrop while you watch the boats float on by from the ride in the pavilion. You can enjoy some great authentic Mexican food, not Americanized at all.

L' Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante is another great place to dine with your significant other. Set in Italy in Epcot, you can enjoy this wonderful Roman themed dining and décor. How can you not have a romantic dinner in Rome, Italy?

Coral Reef Restaurant in the Living Seas pavilion at Epcot is another wonderful place to dine with your sweetie. Enjoy the absolutely gorgeous views of the largest saltwater aquarium on land. Containing many various species of tropical fish, you are bound to have a great time. It's a very unique way to celebrate that romantic dinner you're looking for.

We've done the resorts and the theme parks, but we can't forget about Downtown Disney. There are so many different places to choose from in this area of Disney property. You have Fulton's Crab House, Portobello Yacht Club, Bongo's Cuban Café, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck, and more to choose from.

Now, I've mentioned some of the stereotypical romantic dining spots in Walt Disney World, but I want to mention a few not so traditional. There are so many beautiful places to go and sit on the Disney property and it's a great way to soak it all in. Between the beaches at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, and finding a quiet place to view the fireworks at one of the many theme parks. Get yourself a quick meal to go even if it's a burger, hot dog, or whatever you choose and find a calm serene spot to sit. Watch the Electrical Water Pageant float on by or watch those amazing fireworks or night time displays that only Disney can do. You don't always need fancy to have a romantic dinner. Plan a picnic type of meal and just enjoy being together at the most magical place on Earth.

I hope I have brought some ideas to the surface with your special day coming up. Remember that you don't have to be a child to enjoy all that Disney World has to offer. Fully grown adults can have an amazing time just as well. Live it up, or down, whichever you prefer. Just know that you're together and that's all that matters, but to be with each other in such an amazing place will help make memories that will last a lifetime.

Downtown Disney is forgotten about when planning meals quite often. Don't overlook this lovely area of Disney World when finding a restaurant to spend a romantic evening in!
