Sandia Tram
One of the most romantic restaurants in all of Albuquerque is atop the Sandia Peak Tramway. The Sandia Tram is the longest tram in the entire world. Sitting at the top of the tram are two restaurants: The High Finance Restaurant & Tavern, and the Sandiago's Mexican Grill at the Tram. Sandiago's is a good recommendation for those looking for food closest to New Mexican food. The restaurant is colorful, the food is delicious and the view is truly breathtaking. If you go for dinner, the sunset over the Albuquerque mesa will astound you. The colors are so vivid and beautiful; it truly makes a romantic background for your evening out. The Sandia Tram offers a discount on the tram to those who reserve a dinner for two at one of their restaurants. You can expect to pay about $20/plate. Yanni's Mediterranean
If you prefer a Mediterranean meal and want to spend fewer bucks than at Sandiago's, then you might like Yanni's Mediterranean Grill and Opa Bar in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque. It is a quiet, elegant and romantic atmosphere that imitates an evening out in Greece. In the summertime, the walls roll up to expose the summer breeze which makes it extra enjoyable. Their food is delicious, from rack of lamb to dolmas, pitas and spanakopita. There are lots of vegetarian options as well as meat loving options for everyone. If you have the Entertainment Book, be sure to present your Entertainment Card for a free meal. Plates cost around $15. Here is their website for more information: http://www.yannisandopabar.com/
Jasmine Thai
The Jasmine Thai and Sushi House is a beautiful little restaurant located near Jefferson and I-25. You do not need reservations to eat here as there seems to always be tables or booths available. The entire restaurant is decorated in a Thai theme that does not look tacky at all. In fact, every artifact, art piece and decoration is intriguing and nice to look at. Best of all, you can find most meals for around $12/plate. They have a sushi chef available as well. They have a large selection of imported and domestic wines and beers, as well as a very delicious Thai coffee and Thai iced tea available. Depending on your taste for spice, you can have your meals anywhere from no spice to low, medium and very hot. Sign up for their email list to receive free meal coupons. http://jasminethai-sushi.com/
