Romantic Restaurants Where Couples Can Enjoy a Valentine's Day Meal in the Susquehanna Valley, PA

S. Landis
The task of finding Romantic Restaurants in the Susquehanna Valley can be daunting. Many fast food establishments dot the landscape, but sit down restaurants are hard to find. Places that require reservations are nonexistent between Williamsport and Harrisburg. Nevertheless, there are places couples can go when they want to enjoy a romantic Valentine's Day Dinner. What follows are the author's personal recommendations to couples in the Susquehanna Valley.

Good Wil's

This restaurant has been reviewed by the author before and offers Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Its breakfast menu surpasses its dinner fair, but if a perspective couple times it just right they can walk in, enjoy a meal rich in carbohydrates as most Pennsylvania Dutch food is and have time to engage in more serious plans which better suit the purpose of the holiday.

Country Cupboard

While the food at Country Cupboard in Lewisburg may be bland and over priced for people over the age of sixty, it appeals greatly to older people and does indeed turn out to be the perfect spot for older couples looking to renew the romance in their relationship or perhaps relive their older days. Even if the food does not agree with you, County Cupboard offers a gift shop with many interesting merchandise pieces. Many of its goods are made in American, in Pennsylvania if possible.

The Temperance House

The Temperance House in Lewisburg is not for everyone. Its high prices make it prohibitive for some people to eat there, on the other hand, its Victorian atmosphere gives it a unique place for a restaurant found in the northern reaches of Pennsylvania Dutch country. Reservations might be required on certain holidays. If this is not available, the Lewisburg Hotel offers the same atmosphere.

The Watson Inn

This business and hotel situated in Watsontown may not offer a Victorian atmosphere or the high prices of its Lewisburg competitors, but this Susquehanna Valley business does offer special offers on important holidays and is not as likely to be as crowded (although this does not mean it will not be backed) as some other Susquehanna Valley businesses. The staff is friendly and down to Earth most of the time, but on Valentine's Day it tries to create a romantic mood for its patrons.
