Romantic for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is a special day for all couples, married, single, or somewhere in between. However, it's sometimes difficult to come up with a romantic way to celebrate. Some of the best may be the most obvious.

1. If you are married, take your wife out on a date. It may have been awhile since the two of you got away by yourselves. If you are still in the same area where you met, try and recreate that first important date. Let her know in advance so she can buy something new to wear. Bring her flowers, take her to a movie or the theater, and out to dinner. Do remember to open the car door for her. Ask her to marry you all over again.2. Ladies, if you and her sweetheart can't get away, plan a romantic dinner at home. Send the kids to grandma's for the evening, and surprise him with a romantic dinner of all his favorite foods. Break out the wedding album and reminisce.

3. You may have to wait for a weekend close to Valentines Day for this. Plan a getaway at a lodge or a secluded resort, and include a brochure in with your Valentine card.

4. Every lady likes to show off occasionally in front of her co-workers. Send your lady a bouquet of flowers, a cuddly stuffed animal , or candy , and surprise her at work. Everyone will envy her.

5. Take her dancing. A lot of women love to dance. Men, on the other hand, are sometimes a little reluctant to go dancing, and come up with a lot of excuses to get out of it. At least once a year, it might be nice to take your sweetheart somewhere where there is music and dancing.

6. Leave several little surprises for your love around the house where they can find them. These don't have to be expensive gifts. Heartfelt tokens left with little cards will be the highlight of the day.

7. Find a favorite photo of the two of you, enlarge it, and have it framed in a frame with your names engraved on it.

8. Renew your wedding vows, even if it's just to each other in the privacy of your own home.

9. Surprise your loved one with a sign in their honor. Put it in the front yard and tell the world who you love. If you don't want to spend the money on a rental sign, make one.

10. Many local papers devote an entire page during Valentine's week to little messages for favorite Valentines. It doesn't have to be long and involved, just a note saying "I love you" with your sweetie's name on it. Women read these things, and will be amazed that you thought of it. However, if you put one of these in for your man, you may have to point it out to him.
