It has some of the finest paintings, sculptures and other amazing artworks from around the world on display. In addition to the wonderful works of art displayed, they also have 4 different places to eat. One of the cafes has a view of the sculpture garden.

Brunch at the Corcoran Gallery: What would be a great way to start Valentine's Day than to visit and a have a fine meal there? The Corcoran Gallery in Midtown DC housed some of the finest classic and contemporary artworks in the area. It has a café that inside the museum so you either have a quick snack or a small meal before or after you and date tour the galleries. While you and your date are their, both of you can check out the current and upcoming exhibits at the Corcoran.

A Date at the National Portrait Gallery: A few blocks from the Verizon Center in Downtown DC, The National Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum is a perfect spot of art lovers. This venue is perfect for lovers of Elvis, since they have an exhibit on the Legend that is Elvis going on now until August 29th. In addition, they also have some amazing collections of art on display for viewing. Another great thing about is the Kogod Courtyard that has a quick service café, places to read, sit or relax and elegant glass canopy designed by world-renowned architects Foster + Partners that make a visit to the venue worth the trip.

A Shaken Not Stirred Date:You don't need to be James Bond or Jack Bauer to live dangerously. A trip to the Spy Museum will do the trick. In February, The Spy Museum has their "In Love with a Spy" promotion. Each Friday and Saturday Night, they have 4 different theme nights that also you and your date to become a spy for day. You engage in the Operation Spy experience. After your mission, you toast to job well done. In addition, the museum also has spa packages as well. Ticket purchase are required to participate in the holiday theme activity.

A Night of Dancing: Valentine's Day is on a Sunday. It would be a good time to spend Saturday night dancing. At the Rock and Roll Hotel in the H Street Corridor, The second Saturday of the month is the home of Peppermint. This dance party features the best in indie and dance pop songs from Europe, the U.S and beyond. Meanwhile, 14th Street corridor near U Street has 2 day Valentine's Day weekend dance party at the Black Cat. On the 13th, they host their very popular Mousetrap. It's one of the biggest brit-pop dance nights in the city. On Valentine's Day, this venue hosts Chad America's 11th Annual Valentine's Day Rock & Roll Dance Party in the Red Room. Mousetrap costs $10, while the Valentine's Day Rock and Roll Dance Party is free.

Theater Dates:

An Evening at the KennedyCenter: What can be more romantic that an evening at the Kennedy Center? There are some great shows at the Kennedy Center for Valentine's Day. For those looking for low cost ways to be entertained, there's the Millennium Stage featuring live performances that you nothing. In addition, there are happy hour prices from snacks and drinks from 5-6 p.m. If you want to dinner before the show, they have 2 places for the hungry daters. The Terrance restaurant is an upscale dining venue that gives guests an intermit dinner experience. The KC café is a perfect place those who want a quick meal before their show.

The shows schedule at the Kennedy Center on Valentine's Day includes their long running play Shear Madness. This comedic murder mystery has 2 shows at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. In addition, there are performances by the East Coast Chamber Orchestra at 7:30 p.m.
