The Regency Lodge is a lodge style resort, located within Omaha. The rooms are decorated in this lodge style. Don't let that term fool you. Rather than being a location that is well-suited to hunters, it is much more suitable for couples on a romantic getaway. Their log cabin suites have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and large breakfast bars that connect to a fully equipped kitchen. Or, if you are looking for a more traditional hotel style getaway, their guest rooms have such amenities as a pillowtop bed, refrigerators, and deluxe bath amenities. The hotel itself offers a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, and a sauna. There are three restaurants and lounges within the hotel. The first is the Brookside Cafe. This is where they serve the complimentary breakfast, and they also offer casual lunch and dining options. The other two options are more suited to a couple enjoying a romantic weekend away. The 909 lounge is Omaha's only piano bar. They have a happy hour and fireside seating. You can also choose to dine outside if the weather permits. The Library is their restaurant for fine dining. A chef prepares a new menu daily, and fresh seafood and steaks are served nightly. The dining room only seats a maximum of 20 people, and for this reason, all seats in this restaurant are by the fireside. If none of these dining options appeals to you, the hotel offers free transportation to some area restaurants. The Regency Lodge is located at 909 South 107th Avenue, and their phone number is (402)298-5157.
The Corner Stone Mansion is traditionally called "The Offutt House". It gets its name from the couple that built it in 1894, Charles and Bertha Offutt. The house is located in an area known as Omaha's "Gold Coast". These homes were built by extremely wealthy people, and many have been turned into luxurious bed and breakfasts by their owners. The Corner Stone Mansion is a beautifully decorated B&B that is certain to put you in a romantic mood. There are seven guest rooms available, and each has its own style of decor. Each room has wi-fi access, telephones, and televisions. Some feature fireplaces, sunporches, desks, and even oversized clawfoot tubs. The grounds have several gazebos, or you can relax on a sunporch. This is the ultimate in luxurious B&Bs, and the part that makes it irresistible is the price. Their rates start less than $100 per night, although weekends are more. They are located at 140 North 39th Street, and their phone number is (402)558-7600. Call them for a quote, or to make a reservation.
The Lied Lodge is an hour outside of Omaha, but it is still an easy drive, and well worth the trip. The Lied Lodge is decorated in the Adirondack style, and the building features a lot of stone and timber construction as a result. The lobby features a large ceiling and a brick fireplace that extends in a tall column up to the top. It's quite an impressive sight to behold. The Lied Lodge has such amenities as an Olympic-sized indoor pool, three dining areas, and high-speed internet access. The Sunset Terrace has evening cocktails and alfresco dining. The Library Lounge offers a comfortable reading space and tabletop games, combined with menu options. The Dining Room features breakfast, lunch, and dinner options in their wood beam and cathedral ceilings. The Lied Lodge is also well-known for their conservation efforts. It is associated with The Arbor Day Farms, and it is not only a nice romantic spot for a weekend getaway, but a socially conscious location. Their address is 2700 Sylvan Road in Nebraska City, and their phone number is (402)873-8733.
These three locations can help you get in the mood to improve your relationship. You may find yourself acting like you did at the beginning of your relationship. By spending just a weekend away, you can create many memories for the future. This Valentine's Day, pick one of these spots and give your relationship the spark it needs.

Post a CommentLied Lodge is an amazing getaway, less than an hour from Omaha. The apple orchard views and log cabin feel of the lodge is breathtaking. The staff was very courteous, and the restaurant/bar was top notch. The prices are very reasonable, especially for what you get. I would highly recommend this as a great romantic place to get away from it all. I may be biased, as I woo'd my fiancee by taking her here...and the rest is history.
