Romantic Weekend Getaways Near Newark, New Jersey

There are very few places in the United States that can truly be considered a getaway vacation. There always seem to be tourists or the bustle of traffic and people passing by. There rarely is a quiet and romantic place for couples to just getaway. Well, I have the perfect place for you and it is near Newark, New Jersey.

One of the most exciting and action thrilling water parks is called Mountain Creek Water Park and it is located in New Jersey. The weekend getaway to this beautiful mountain creek water park is alone enough satisfaction to have a weekend getaway. Now add in a five star hotel with a fireplace for a romantic night and you pretty much have it all.

The Mountain Creek Water Park is one of the finest in the land. People from across the nation go to have an amazing time. There are 100 foot drop slides for people who really love thrills and there are also relaxing ride where you slowly float down a river. Other rides include a giant tube ride that fits up to four people that is called the Colorado Rapids. Take a wild ride down this rapids river and experience firsthand the excitement as you toss around in your boat and get hit with water from all angles. It is quite a lot of fun and is by far the water park's best ride. Other rides include a body flume ride that is pitch black and you drop several feet in the air from the tube into a body of water and make a giant splash. Other rides include a body flume in which you go diagonally down a slide at around thirty miles per hour. The rides aren't just for thrill seekers as there are plenty of rides that the average person can take. There are locker rooms and a pool to spend some time in called the Wave Pool.

In addition, there are several places to eat in the water park including a pizza stand and sandwich place that sells hamburgers, wings, fries, etc.

During the winter timewhen the water freezes up, the area is converted into a ski resort as there are ski slopes right next to the water park. There is a ski store ontop of the mountain that sells ski supplies and rents out equipment. There is also a ski lift that will bring you to the top of the mountain. It is also a lot of fun and quite an experience.

The best part of the weekend getaway is at the hotel called the Mountain Creek Hotel. The resort has several townhouse buildings that are spread far apart from each other. The townhouses are divided into an upstairs room and a downstairs room for two different couples. Each room is enormous and luxurious. The hotel rooms come complete with two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room with a television and movie channels, a dining room to eat at that has mahogany chairs. In addition, there is a balcony that can be reached through a screen door and curtains. The balcony overlooks a small lake habitat and when you step outside you can experience the peacefulness of nature. It is truly a great site. Some people spend hours just sitting outside and talking and taking in the great view that overlooks the mountains. Finally, at night there is a fireplace that can be turned on and off with the flick of a switch. The fire will give you heat on a cold night as you snuggle with a loved one and talk the night away. Should you wish to have guests, there is an upstairs bedroom as well as a pull out couch that converts into a bed.

Outside of the hotel room is a Jacuzzi, a pool and a hot tube. The hot tube feels great on your body as every bone can relax and absorb the warmth of the hot tube. The Jacuzzi also feels very nice as you have the bubbly water. At night, the pools are lit by white lights which make it romantic for couples to be together.

The prices for the room are expensive; I'm not going to lie. For one night in the luxurious rooms, you might spend around three hundred fifty dollars. Still, if you have saved up for the trip and you have the money to spend; I assure you that you will have a great time.
