caught like fishes in a violent net.
Swords clashing hither (here), and thither (there).
Riotous pandemonium everywhere.
The Prince enters onto the stage,
and is perturbed by the pointless rage.
On pain of death, he disperses the throng,
and shouts words to the effect, "Can't we all just get along?"
But from this scene of hate and gloom,
two star-crossed lovers are born from its womb.
"O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night...
Is she a Capulet?
O dear account! my life is my foe's debt."-Romeo
"My only love sprung from my only hate!
Too early seen unknown, and known too late!"--Juliet
The elixir of youth brews a love so strong,
even silence sings a gallant song.
Romeo and Juliet-a Montague and Capulet-
slip through the mesh of the hostile net.
"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon..."-Romeo
"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet."-Juliet
Under the moon and sun
two hearts beat as one.
And they evict from the manor of their heart
the pointless feud that drives their clans apart.
Only when this one heart draws its last breath,
only when their families see the lovers' death,
doth the feud end.
Alas, a tragic play the Bard cannot mend.
"For never was a story of more woe
than this of Juliet and her Romeo."--Prince

Post a CommentSomeday, William, there will be three stars in lights on the Las Vegas strip - Elton, Celine, and Fabricio. They will be lining up around the block for tickets to see the "fab" one.
LOL! David, you are going to make Fabricio a star with you dropping his/her/its name at more than one site.
Hi William!! I love this review. Fabricio once did this play with Liberace. I'll let you guess who played Romeo and who was Juliet!!
Thanks so much, MZ!
Bravo, WP! Bravo!
