COMMENTARY | Did the media compare the Tea Party to Operation Wall Street in an attempt to weaken the Tea Party support? Tea Party favorites Sarah Palin and Herman Cain fell under enormous pressure by the media to get out of the 2012 presidential election. Even President Obama blames the Tea Party segment of Congress for holding up bills and harming the country's economic outlook. With all this bad press, has the Tea Party folded like a cheap OWS tent?
The Tea Party is not always a visible group. Most people that are part of the movement have families to raise and jobs. They do not spend their time in tent cities protesting. Being part of the Tea Party is more of a mindset or way of life. These like-minded people all want smaller government, less government intrusion and lower taxes.
The Tea Party is made up of Democrats, independents and Republicans. They are all disenchanted with the government and have stood firmly behind elected Tea Party candidates for now. With Palin and Cain out of the race, at first blush the media will tell you that there are no viable Tea Party candidates. Once again, they are misleading the public. The Des Moines Register announced Ron Paul is polling very well in Iowa. He is a constant reminder that the government has gone spend crazy. Paul is blacked out by the media and called a "joke" by pundits and Republicans.
So-called leaders of the Tea Party faction chose to speak for all members when they dissed Herman Cain. The very thought that a Tea Party can have one leader goes against everything that I and others believe in. Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann are voices of the Tea Party, the message is the true leader of the party.
The Tea Party is not dead. There will always be a Ron Paul that fights for the peoples' rights over government greed and growth. Some people the Tea Party movement put into office will disappoint us and others will give us hope that we the people can take back the country. The Tea Party, the message, and Ron Paul's campaign are all alive and well.

Groundhog. Stop repeating what Rush Limbaugh said. He is confused as to what he should do. He hates Gingrich but feels he has no choice but to support him because he hates Obama more.
As to Ron Paul being father of Tea Party. Read up what Tea Party stands for and then read up what Ron Paul has been saying for the last 30 years.
Ron Paul is not Tea Party. Paulbots simply rushed to the Tea Party and tried to claim 'we started this movement'. Then when Occupy Wall Street came Paulbots rushed to OWS and claimed 'we started this movement'.The fact is that Paulbots can only be part of the Ron Paul movement. They don't support any candidate besides Ron Paul. Nobody in the Tea Party wants them around. They are annoying little idiots who don't know a #$%$ thing about politics or the truth about Ron Paul.Anybody would be better than the usurper in the White House currently but ROn Paul would be about the worst choice we could make.
Sherry Tomfeld, Ron Paul "ensures", not insures.
