Ronni Chasen was age 64. Her murder has many of the top performers in Hollywood in a state of grief. She was a beloved part of the Hollywood movie business.
Contact Beverly Hills Police with Information about Murder of Ronni Chasen
If you have any information about the murder of Ronni Chasen, contact Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department at 310 - 288-2656.
The murder occurred near Sunset Boulevard at North Whittier Drive at around 12:30 a.m.. This street has already gained much fame in Hollywood. And now today it has an air of mystery about it as the public ponders how a woman who was such an integral part of the entertainment industry could be killed in such a horrific way.
Ronni Chasen probably enjoyed her last evening on this planet tremendously. She had gone to the premiere and a party for the movie "Burlesque" which stars Cher. The festivities for the movie celebration were held at the W hotel in Hollywood.
Cher must be horrifically upset that Ms. Chasen was killed after out celebrating "Burlesque." Any murder touches so many lives. Ronnie Chasen worked with the top stars in Hollywood. Her career helped them achieve their success.
No Witnesses to the Murder
It was not all that late when Ms. Chasen was murdered. Thus far it is not yet known if there were any witnesses to the crime. She was driving during the attack and crashed the car into a telephone pole. No one was with her in the car when authorities arrived at the scene.
Some of the homes in the area where the car crashed have outside security cameras, notes Radar Online. There may be security video that shows what happened to cause this horrible death.
Could the crime have been an attempted car jacking? Perhaps she was stopped at a light when someone approached her car. The police investigating the murder have not yet identified any suspects. There is also speculation that this murder could have been a professional hit. But why would anyone want to kill a Hollywood publicist?
In today's world, driving a luxury vehicle does make one a target for crime. Unfortunately, Ennis Cosby, the only son of entertainer Bill Cosby, was shot to death while trying to change a tire on a Mercedes he was driving. The crime also occurred in California. Ennis Cosby was in a PhD program at Columbia University at the time of his death. It seems that while behind the wheel of a Mercedes one is at high risk for violence.
Ronni Chasen: Admired by Her Peers
Ronni Chasen owned public relations company Chasen & Co. in Beverly Hills, California. She had worked in the PR field for over three decades.
Another Hollywood publicist, Howard Bragman described Ms. Chasen to Radar Online. "She had a lot of class, a lot of style and a lot of intelligence. She was just very well respected."
Gun Violence
Gun violence is the scourge of America. So many lives are being lost to gun violence every year in this country. Too many families are dealing with grief due to a relative being shot to death.
No one expects to die in a hail of bullets, but too many Americans are finding themselves in just that situation. And in these tough economic times, gun violence will probably be increasing as crime rates rise.
And currently too many Americans are stockpiling weapons. Unfortunately, when their home is robbed those weapons end up out on the streets, too often used in violent crimes.
