Locked in a room of darkness
For all the days I've known
Nothing of the outside world
Of the light it's surely shown
In my room of darkness
I've sat and wondered why
Never has a good thing stopped
For it is only to pass me by
This is a room of darkness
That I live in every day
And here I will ever remain
Lest someone show the way
It has served as a simple solitude
Surley I've been here too long
A lonely place, this room of darkness
But for now, here I'll sing my song
For all the days I've known
Nothing of the outside world
Of the light it's surely shown
In my room of darkness
I've sat and wondered why
Never has a good thing stopped
For it is only to pass me by
This is a room of darkness
That I live in every day
And here I will ever remain
Lest someone show the way
It has served as a simple solitude
Surley I've been here too long
A lonely place, this room of darkness
But for now, here I'll sing my song
