Let's give a quick look at the current prices, Remember these prices are average and sometimes there will be something lower or of course something higher. It Depends on the supply and demand

If you are looking for a two bedroom, it will cost between $2,700 and $3,500 theses do come with two baths. Going up to a three bedroom, it will cost from about $3,000 to about $5,000. The main reason for the difference in prices is what floor you are on. The higher up the better the view, the better the view the more it costs. Transportation on Roosevelt Island

Although it is an island by itself, transportation too and from Roosevelt Island is very easy basically there are four ways to get on and off the island. The most fun and famous is the Roosevelt Island Tram Way. Did you see the first "Spiderman" movie? Then you know about the Tram. And the trip to or from Manhattan takes a grand total of four minutes. Not bad at all. In Manhattan, the Tram lets you off at 59th Street and 2nd Avenue. When you come home at night, you will be met by a mini bus which will take you to your final destination.

If you are planing to go the other way, to Queens instead of Manhattan, you can drive over the Roosevelt Island Bridge. One thing about cars, though. They are not allowed all over the Island, just incertain places. Once they were not allowed at all.

And then there is the ever popular New York Subway System. If you have not had the opportunity to ride any of the subway line in New York City, do it. It is quite an experience, as well as the fastest way to get to most places in the City. On Roosevelt Island there is one subway line, the F train, which can take you to Manhattan and on into Coney Island, Brooklyn in one direction and to the shopping areas of Queens in the other.
The last option is the Q102 bus which will take you to Astoria in Queens.
