Rosarita Refried Beans Review

Chen Salis
While in Lancaster, Ohio I stopped by my favorite store, Big Lots to browse the aisles of deals. I was impressed with the large selection of food available at discounted prices and I took advantage of quite a few great deals, including Rosarita brand no fat traditional style refried beans in a 16 ounce can. In this review I will focus on this impressive product in an effort to spread the word about the Rosarita brand and to help other consumers make an informed buying decision when shopping for Mexican style food products such as refried beans.

I am a fan of bean burritos but my town does not have a Taco Bell restaurant, so often times I prepare bean burritos at home as a dinner item. Refried Beans are not only pretty tasty, but they are also a great source of fiber and many brands are available in fat free varieties. Refried beans are cholesterol free, low in sugar and contain essential vitamins and nutrients. Refried beans are a source of protein, vitamin a, iron, and calcium. The only own side nutritionally is the fact that they do contain a very high amount of sodium, at over 20% of the daily recommended value per serving.

Rosarita brand no fat traditional style refried beans are a great deal at Big Lots. I paid 60 cents for a one pound can of a good tasting product. You cannot get a small can for that price in most stores, so this cheap food product goes along way for the price. These refried beans taste similar to every other brand I have tried despite this brand being a fat free variety. While refried beans can be considered to be quite bland on their own, it is easy to spice things up a little with refried beans and bean burritos. There are a variety of fantastic common refrigerator items that you can add to refried beans and bean burritos such as any flavor of cheese, hot sauce, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, onion, tomato and so on.

I will purchase Rosarita brand no fat traditional style refried beans again when I run across this product, I have never looked for it in my local grocery store but I will make a point to when I make my next trip to the grocery store. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes to eat Mexican foods, refried beans, bean burritos and so on. If you have a Big Lots store in your area I would recommend that you stop by there and look for Rosarita brand no fat traditional style refried beans, you might be able to get a fantastic deal like I did.
