Rose Bowl Score 2011 Decided by TCU Defense

Robert Dougherty
The Rose Bowl score 2011 looked to be in the 40's early on. However, the Rose Bowl score 2011 became a defensive struggle after the first quarter. It didn't appear that TCU and Wisconsin would show much defense, after they scored on their two first quarter drives. But after 24 points were scored in the first, only 19 more were scored in the next three. Yet because Wisconsin didn't get two more points of their own, the Rose Bowl score became a landmark 21-19 win for TCU.

Although the Horned Frogs are best known for their offense, the defense was among the most successful in the country. Yet the Badgers' powerful rushing attack led the way in their first drive, but the Horned Frogs finally held them to a field goal.

After that, the Rose Bowl score 2011 was run up for the rest of the quarter, as that opening stop made the difference. TCU secured a 14-10 lead after the first quarter, but at that point, the offenses finally slowed down. Still, Wisconsin continued to threaten in the second, although they missed one field goal, and made a second before halftime.

The Badgers had control of the ball for much of the first half, but they only scored one touchdown, and had to have three field goal attempts. Those missed opportunities would haunt Wisconsin later, as they were pinned in their own territory for much of the second half.

TCU got another touchdown to start the half, but the Rose Bowl score 2011 froze at 21-13 Horned Frogs, until the final minutes. At that point, Wisconsin got out of their own territory, and finally scored a big touchdown. Yet they needed a two point conversion to go along with it.

The Badgers tried to pass for the conversion, and had tight end Jacob Pedersen open in the end zone. However, TCU linebacker Tank Carder knocked the ball down, before it could get to Pedersen.

With that final stop, the Rose Bowl score 2011 went final for TCU, 21-19. In a game that looked to be a shootout, defense won the day for the Horned Frogs. For the Badgers, they came close to breaking the game open early, and could not break through in the first half. In the second half, they never really had a chance to do so, until it was too late.

TCU didn't run things up either after the first, but they took advantage of their opportunities. Andy Dalton played mistake free, which allowed the defense to take control in the second half. But just when it looked like they had broken in the final minutes, Carder made the biggest stop in TCU football history.

Although the 2011 Rose Bowl score wasn't as high as expected, the Horned Frogs will take their historic win any way they can, while the Badgers wonder what could have been.
