What is Rosé Champagne ?
Rose Champagne is prepared by allowing the skin of the red grapes to stay in contact with the juice, after being crushed. This method of preparing wine is known as the saigneé method. The other way to make Rose Champagne is by adding red wine to sparkling wine.
For a long time, Rose Champagne had been out of fashion since 1800, but today its popularity had grown manifolds. In the year 2006, over 1.9 million bottles of rosé Champagne were imported from France to the United States. Today Champagne producers produce 3 kinds of Champagnes; a standard nonvintage, a vintage and a prestige cuvee rose.
Some of the most reputable companies that produce Rosé Champagne are Krug Rosé, Joseph Perrier Cuvee Rose, Moet Imperial Rose and Laurent-Perrier Rose.
Which Is The Best Rose Champagne ?
It's difficult to tell which is the best Rose Champagne since all of us are different people having different points of view, but after asking several Rose Champagne drinkers, i have to say its Laurent Perrier rose. If you are considering a drink for a marriage, then Rose Champagne would be a wise choice!
