Broke into the seal
Like glass into cotton,
The rose grew,
Scattered and amazed,
Six colors, two?
Which is wiser,
The stem or the hue?
Green subjects to light,
But yellow grows it still
With beauty.
When you mention it to me,
It is just a flower to me,
Crafted from the petal
In a spiral, swords
That fit within each other
Markers of perfection
But it's the thorns that cut you through.
