Rosebud Crib Recall Announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission

Owners of Rosebud Cribs that Have Been Recalled Should Stop Using These Immediately

Pat Anthony
Another crib recall has been issued following consumer complaints. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, 13 reports of hardware failure on the recalled cribs have been received.

The cribs involved in this recall are Rosebud cribs with the drop sides. The cribs were manufactured in Quebec, Canada by Status Furniture. This company is now out of business.

Consumers with Rosebud cribs that have a drop side are advised by CPSC to stop using the cribs immediately. The distributor of the Rosebud cribs is The Land of Nod, which is in Northbrook, Illinois.

It is reported that the crib sides can detach, causing a gap that may allow an infant to be trapped, causing strangulation or suffocation. To read the original information from the CPSC, visit this site.

These recalled cribs are antique white or white with plastic hardware for the drop sides. The model number on the instructions for assembly is 910. The lower section of the headboard will have a label with the name Status Furniture.

As the recalled Rosebud cribs were sold online at www.landofnod.com between January 2003 and September 2004, they could be anywhere. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that the Land of Nod will be handling the recall of the Rosebud cribs because Status Furniture is out of business.

Those with the Rosebud recalled cribs can contact Land of Nod by calling 800-933-9904 for information about a merchandise credit. Someone is available from 8:30 AM until 5 PM. At this time The Land of Nod is offering a credit of $599 to consumers. The Land of Nod can also be reach by email: recall@landofnod.com.
