Hair can become dull and dry overtime without proper hair conditioning and treatments. When this happens a homemade rosemary mint hair conditioner can help add shine, softness and life back to hair naturally. The homemade conditioner is easy to make and smells so delightful and calming to the senses.
The organic ingredients needed to make the rosemary mint hair conditioner are ½ cup of coconut oil, 1 cup of honey, ½ cup of buttermilk, 10 drops of rosemary oil, 15 drops of peppermint oil and 1 teaspoon of xanthum gum. All these ingredients you can find at any local health food store, herbal shop or grocery store.
To make the homemade rosemary mint hair conditioner you must pour all the ingredients into a small sauce pan on top of the stove. Next, warm the ingredients together for 5 minutes until they dissolve. After, combine ingredients together with a wire whisk until they become a slightly thick creamy rosemary mint hair conditioner. Then once the rosemary mint hair conditioner is made, allow it to cool to room temperature, which should only take about 30 minutes. After, carefully pour the conditioner into a plastic bottle and take it into the bathroom to use right away for conditioning your hair naturally.
Now before you use the rosemary mint conditioner it is best to brush your hair out well to make sure all the dead loose hair is brushed out and all the knots and tangles are completely out. Then you should tip your head over the shower or bathtub, pour the conditioner all over your head and hair being careful not to get any on your face or in the eyes, and then massage the conditioner into your hair and scalp well using your fingertips. You may also comb the conditioner throughout your hair if this is easier, but just make sure to use a wide pic comb so you're not to rough on your already dry dull damaged hair. Once the conditioner is drenching your hair and scalp well it is best to place a shower cap over your head with your hair tucked in it to help prevent the conditioner from dripping everywhere. Then allow the condition to nourish and repair your hair naturally by leaving it in the hair for an hour. Now if you don't have this much time 30 minutes is great too. I just think the hour really helps allow the hair to be deeply conditioned and nourished well.
Then, once the time is up it is time to cleanse the hair well. The best way to cleanse the hair is by getting into the shower and rinsing it down with plenty of warm water. Next, you will want to take about 2 teaspoons of shampoo and lather your hair up well with it. After, rinse the hair out with cool water and pat it dry. If you find your hair is greasy or oily just wash the hair out some more with shampoo until all the homemade hair conditioner is out. Now, once your hair is conditioned with the rosemary mint conditioner and is all dry it should feel silky soft and strong with a vibrant shiny appearance. It will also have a lovely light rosemary mint scent to it that is very calming and lovely. To keep hair looking vibrant and full of life it is best to use the homemade rosemary mint hair conditioner 2 to 3 times per month. However, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this lovely homemade conditioner I suggest you not use it. Otherwise, I wish you all some happy hair days ahead of you.
