Roses for Me
Yesterday I bought;
Flowers for myself;
Some may think it is crazy;
But I ask-"Why not?"
Bright summer roses;
Dark pink and bright gold;
Wrapped in cellophane;
Kissed with baby's breath;
Brightness for a darkened day;
Sweet smell of romance;
As a light shower falls;
People smile at me;
When they see me walking;
Carrying my roses;
Maybe they think I'm in love;
I giggle to myself;
Yes, I will let them think that;
So they will never know my secret;
I won't wait for someone to buy them for me;
When I can buy them for myself;
There is something about fresh roses;
That makes everyone feel special;
At least for a little while.

Good for you Girl!!! If it makes you feel better, do it! The beauty and smell of God's fresh flowers is so uplifting..... why do people always think that only people in love, get flowers, if the flower industry depended only on people who buy flowers for the "In love crowd" they wouldn't make much money, except on Valentines Day and maybe a few Birthdays.. My favorite to buy for myself is Carnations and Lillies.
