Before you know it my little two year old will be going to preschool. Finding a good preschool for him is important to me. I want to find a preschool that he will learn and have fun. A preschool that I have found is called, Roseville Parent Education Preschool in Roseville California. I like Roseville Parent Education Preschool for many reasons.

Roseville Parent Education Preschool makes parents a part of their child's learning program. Parents thoughts and ideas are incorporated in the lesson plan. The teachers seem to value what parent's think since parents are the ones who are with their child most of the day. The Roseville Parent Education Preschool has parent meetings where they brainstorm lesson plan ideas, fundraisers and fieldtrips. Parents also have an opportunity to talk about the strengths of their child and areas that need growth. Parents incorporate what their child is learning at school in the home environment. For example, one of the teachers told me that they are talking about bears. The parents get to check out a bear book from the classroom to read their child. After the parent reads the book their child will draw a picture about the story.

Roseville Parent Education Preschool has a beautiful classroom. The classroom is attractive with different colors that interest the child to explore and play. The classroom is clean. I did not see a trash or debris. The teachers and parents work together in cleaning the toys, tables and chairs. Everything is sanitized at least once a week.

Roseville Parent Education Preschool has a good curriculum. They have a theme and the activities they do are centered on the theme. The theme can last for a week or up to a month. One teacher told me they took a whole month to talk about winter. She told me they also select themes based upon the children's interest. For example, I saw a few weeks ago out in the playground children were pretending to act like bears. She told me they did this for a few days. So they took the children's interest in bears and developed a whole curriculum. She told me it is easier for the children to learn if they are interested in the topic. She also told me they could take any topic such as bears and incorporate math and English. An example of that is during my visit I saw children counting how many bears were in a jar.

Roseville Parent Education Preschool cost $60 dollars a month however, the parent has to help out in the classroom once a week. The hours are from 9-11:30AM.

Roseville Parent Education Preschool is an excellent school with wonderful staff that includes parent participation. They work with the parents in making sure the child learns and progresses. Roseville Parent Education Preschool is a school I would recommend to anyone who wants to start their child in preschool.

We are entering into our third year at Roseville Parent Education Preschool. We love it. The children thrive in this type of environment as do the parents. It is a learning experience all around. The children learn, the parents learn, and we have all made wonderful friends! We will definately come here again with our 2nd child.
