Rosie O'Donnell Leaving the View

I just knew that this day would come! You can't tell me that ABC really couldn't come up with an agreement that Rosie would like. They made the agreement disagreeable on purpose so she wouldn't want to stay on! That woman's mouth is more trouble than it's worth. Anybody going against Donald Trump in the way that she did is low-minded.

So what that the ratings are higher than it's ever been before. When O'Donnell leaves in June, they'll go down again. Chances are they won't be able to find someone equal to her, who would cause them problems-problems if they're not careful, could get them off the air, like Don Imus. You may think that I have never like Rosie, but it's not true. Only lately did I realize what Donald Trump said about her is true.

It seemed that right after she "came out", she started downing other celebrities. Michael Jackson, Liza Minelli, Diana Ross, Martha Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, Winona Ryder and Joan Rivers. Then after she was on the view she had to talk about Clay Aiken/Kelly Ripa. Just because, Kelly Ripa made a comment to Clay Aiken, about not knowing where his hand had been, when he covered her mouth. Rosie had to put her two cents in and say the remark was homophobic, and implied he was gay. I read Clay Aiken's autobiography. I know he is a good "Christian" man. Just because someone isn't seen with a whole lot of women- does not mean that they are gay! A few weeks ago, I saw on a television show that there is a group of college students in Harvard University who openly admit that they are virgins, and will wait to have sex before they are married. Rosie's remark was very ignorant.

I was also shocked at her making fun of Asian people. Danny DeVito was on the show, about his little controversy, and she said something like, "You can imagine China is like, Ching-chong ching-chong Danny DeVito..ching-chong, ching-chong. Drunk.." I'm like, What the?? To me that is not being a comedian, that's being completely stupid. Then she had the nerve to say she was "sorry" that she offended anyone, and that she'd probably do that again because that's how "her brain" works. In response, a Chinese American rapper, Jin, recorded a song called "You're Fired."

The last straw for me was going after Donald Trump. I know nobody is perfect, but I really admire the man, and how he has made his fortune. No, I didn't agree that he should have given Tara Conner another chance, but the way Rosie put down his character, hair and went on and on senselessly, I know Rosie is not a very bright person.

I don't know how ABC did it, but they got her out on purpose. If they really wanted her to stay, they could have worked something out. It seems to me, ever since she admitted that she was gay, she's gotten nastier. To me, she is unhappy being gay. I am beginning to think that maybe it's just a publicity stunt so she will be noticed more. I don't know, and I really don't care. I used to watch the View whenever I could, but didn't even bother when she came on. If ABC doesn't get somebody to replace her that has more intelligence, and can be entertaining, their ratings are going to sink down even more.

I am glad that she is going in June. I knew after downing Trump that it wouldn't be long after until she would disappear. Barbara Walters knows she wanted her to go to, she's just too scared to admit it. So long, farewell and good riddance. June isn't soon enough.
